Vines and microclimate

RS Crianza is the result of a selection of vines over 50 years’ old. The old vines of the legendary town of Clavijo (Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja) are the source of this honest and unusual wine. The long life of these vines has endowed them with wisdom and a plethora of virtues, producing grapes of exceptional quality, in a climate and soil with very specific features. The renowned potential of our tempranillo and century-old garnacha mark the style and personality which define the enormous complexity of this unique wine: RS a name of its own.

Tasting Notes

Intense ruby red with great depth of colour and a rim shading toward garnet, revealing its good evolution. It has lots of legs. Highly intense, concentrated aroma in which you can detect aromas of fruits such as cherries, plums and pears integrated with spicy hints of vanilla, cinnamon, coconut and caramel. A balanced, round wine, with backbone. Meaty, silky sensation on the palate, with sweet, smooth tannins. Long finish with an intense retronasal phase where you can find spices, ripe fruit and toasted sensations. It is in splendid shape now and can be expected to last for a very long time.

25% Graciano
15% Garnacha

Ageing: 12 months in French-oak casks and a minimum of 10 months in the bottle.

Serving temperature: 18 to 20 ºC
